We are recruiting for a Senior Risk, Safety & Security Advisor in Shanghai/China.
About the role
This role will report to our Lead Risk and Assurance Manager, who is based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will ideally haveexperience in managing risk and conducting investigations. They should be able to work independently whilst engaging with other colleagues and will play a vital role in ensuring our business operates with the highest level of integrity. They will provide safety and security advice and be the go-to person for all risk and security matters in their region.
About the team
Our Risk and Security function upholds our Tesco Values. We help the business to understand the ever-changing risk landscape, provide security support and guidance to our colleagues and independently conduct impartial investigations. We are specialist in our field with integrity at our core.
You will be responsible for
Supporting the delivery of our Risk and Assurance programs in areas of Safety, Security, Business Continuity, Fraud and Bribery.
Delivering compliance to our Risk Blueprints and standards by identifying gaps, assessing controls, creating and implementing improvement plans.
Supporting the investigation of any policy breaches both internally or externally.
Developing business continuity plans that support in the event of a crisis.
Conducting horizon scanning and intelligence analysis into emerging risk areas such as geopolitical threats, country profiles, traveler risk.
Providing logistical and translation support to investigations where necessary.
Developing and conducting training and awareness activities for colleagues and our suppliers on risk, safety and security.
Performing integrity screening of new joiners to assess their suitability.
You will need
An understanding of corporate risk management including risk assessment, risk registers and governance models.
Experience in conducting investigations including interviewing and report writing.
Experience in engaging and influencing managers and senior leadership.
A high standard of verbal and written English.
