Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for a special event. Conducting search with a magnetic wand at the entrance, ensuring no weapons are allowed in the venue. Conducting optimal patrol of the premises ensuring no issues occur. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. Candidates with military experience or law enforcement backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Duties
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations.
Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or suspicious behavior.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Requirements
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must possess a valid security officer certification where applicable.
Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process.
