Responsibilities As a Senior Security Specialist with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: * Administer and coordinate DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
* Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions, such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, and physical security to ensure compliance with standards.
* Provides administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material.
* Supports the SAP information security program.
* Ensures appropriate documentation is maintained for the accreditation and use of Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).
* Coordinates annual and semi-annual preventive maintenance inspections and testing for SAPFs/SCIFs.
* Generates and tracks Program Access Requests (PARs) utilizing the Joint Access Database Environment (JADE).
* Administers and maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguarding of company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property.
* Develops and conducts security briefings and security
education
programs.
* Provides oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as proprietary information.
* Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications. Investigates losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions. Qualifications * High School diploma
* 10+ years of relevant DoD/IC security related experience.
* Special access program experience a plus
* Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
* Senior knowledge of DoD, DOE, or other industrial security programs.
* Excellent
communication
and organizational skills.
* Possess an analytical mindset with
effective problem-solving

salary range
