What We Do

The Senior Vulnerability Scanning Engineer will manage and optimize the organization’s vulnerability scanning processes, tools, and methodologies. This role requires a deep understanding of vulnerability management, configuration compliance, security frameworks, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture.

What You’ll Do

Assist in designing, implementing, and managing the vulnerability scanning program, including planning, executing, and reporting weekly.

Conduct comprehensive scans of the entire IT infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and ensure configuration compliance.

Collaborate within the enterprise to ensure the effectiveness of vulnerability scanning.

Maintain and enhance vulnerability scanning tools, ensuring integration into security workflows.

Develop and maintain metrics and reports to communicate security posture to stakeholders.

Research emerging vulnerabilities, threats, and trends to inform scanning strategies.

Provide guidance and mentorship on vulnerability scanning best practices.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

Participate in incident response activities as needed.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

5+ years of experience in vulnerability management or IT security, focusing on vulnerability scanning and assessment.

Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7) and their configuration.

Strong understanding of network security principles, application security, and system architecture.

Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations such as NIST.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.

Strong communication skills for presenting complex information clearly.

Salary Range: $86,675.00 – $. This range is an estimate and pay is based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
