We are seeking an experienced Site Security Specialist to join our team at Control Risks. As the Site Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ events.
This position is a 6-month role.Responsibilities:
Support Client event security team in the execution of safe secure and successful events, ranging from large internal (non-public) Client events to large marquee public events
Conduct desktop or in-person assessment of venues in Toronto/Toronto area, with the possibility of conducting some limited assessments at other locations in Canada
Provide security requirements with regards to floor plan design for different events
Develop event security protocols, in collaboration with Client and vendor stakeholder groups
Develop event-specific issues management playbook
Where feasible and at the discretion of Client, support the build out of elements of the broader corporate program, including but not limited to executive protection and travel risk management
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
5-7 years of experience in government, corporate security or a similar role
Event security or close protection experience
Ability to understand and mitigate threat-related considerations in various event settings
Ability to provide measured and timely guidance under pressure
