This is for an On-Site Security Incident Handler to join a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services team.
As part of this critical role, you will work directly with the customer’s IT environment, managing and coordinating security incidents as part of their ongoing service delivery. This is an on-site position, requiring you to work closely with both local and off-site teams, ensuring smooth and effective communication and business continuity.
Some Responsibilities:
Serve as the first responder when a new security incident is notified by the SOC (Security Operations Center) Team.
Coordinate with the customer’s internal IT staff and the local Service Delivery Manager (SDM) on incident handling, including legitimacy checks and response actions.
Investigate security incidents fully and escalate accordingly if necessary.
Skills:
Proven experience in a security incident handling or cybersecurity role.
Strong knowledge of security incident management processes and best practices.
Familiarity with IT environments and security tools used for detection and response.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Proficiency in managing and coordinating incidents from detection through to resolution.
