The Lead Security Officer, under the direction of the Security Management, ensures a safe and secure environment for Guests, Team Members and company assets, and assists Security Management in leading Security Officers to do the same. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resorts Winning Attitude company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
2. Assist Security Management to plan, schedule and execute security activities.
3. Assist Security Management to monitor the work of Security Officers, establish priorities, and monitor information received from the Security Dispatcher.
4. Demonstrate working knowledge of, and enforce, all applicable laws, policies and procedures, Gaming Commission Regulations, and ensure that Security Officers are doing the same.
5. Ensure overall Guest satisfaction and respond to Guest opportunities as necessary.
6. Respond to all non-routine incidents and Guest opportunities in a Lead capacity, and ensure that appropriate action is taken and notifications are made.
7. Observe and evaluate Security Officers alertness, appearance, and performance while on duty. Ensure that Security Officers are meeting Guest service expectations Act to correct deficiencies and keep Security Management informed of any inconsistencies.
8. Write and evaluate security reports, and ensure that they are complete and accurate.
9. Ensure clear and effective communication between and among Team Members, Guests, and Management.
10. Conduct follow-up investigations as directed by Security Management.
11. In the event of an emergency, coordinate emergency response activities until the arrival of the responsible Security Management, Company Executive, and/or fire and police official.
12. Determine and recommend to Security Management any changes to improve security operations.
13. Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer as needed.
14. Be thoroughly familiar with all evacuation plans and emergency response protocols, OSHA guidelines and the SDS booklet.
15. Inspect all Security vehicles and bicycles to ensure they are in good working order and properly maintained.
16. Responsible for master keys and exchange of keys during shift change.
