YOUR IMPACTThe Sr. Director, Physical Security & Risk Programs is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic direction of Open Text’s physical security program and associated risk management initiatives. This pivotal role calls for a highly experienced security management professional to oversee an enterprise-wide program and provide senior-level (strategic)
leadership
for the organization’s physical security risk management efforts. Supported by a team of security professionals, the Sr.
Director will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of physical security systems and technologies, management of security operations, development of strategies to mitigate risks to Open Text’s facilities across the world, and establishment of robust governance to promote a culture of compliance and ensure the effectiveness of security programs globally.
This position will report to the VP, Workplace Services and will be based within travel distance of either our Waterloo, ON or Richmond Hill, ON office.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS Develop and implement a company-wide strategy to optimize Open Text’s physical security approach, in alignment with global operations, risk exposures, and regulations.
Align security strategy with stakeholder needs across business units, promoting a proactive security culture and providing thought

Provide senior oversight for Open Text’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), ensuring continuous monitoring, rapid response, and incident management. Optimize GSOC technology and processes for real-time intelligence and emergency response. Oversee the design, implementation, and management of Open Text’s physical security systems strategy and technology roadmap to drive standardization across the enterprise and ensure alignment with the company’s evolving needs.

to enhance physical security capabilities, streamline operations, and improve threat detection and response times.
Lead the execution of security system upgrades, migrations, and deployments in new facility projects, providing senior-level oversight through the planning, design, and implementation phases.
Establish a risk management program for facilities security, working with stakeholders to implement mitigation plans and ensure
regulatory compliance
. Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of physical security policies, standards and procedures to ensure consistent application of security practices across the enterprise. Establish and oversee an audit program to regularly review security protocols, systems, and incident reports to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for
