Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment for our facilities and personnel. This role requires a proactive approach to safety, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention, surveillance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
Monitor premises through CCTV and other surveillance systems to detect suspicious activities or breaches of security.
Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security protocols are being followed.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action as needed.
Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and assist in investigations as required.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance when needed, ensuring the health and safety of all individuals on-site.
Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Requirements
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
Familiarity with surveillance equipment and loss prevention techniques is an asset.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential security threats.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
A valid security officer certification or willingness to obtain one is required.
