Job Summary:

Metro Security Services is seeking a vigilant and responsible Patrol Security Guard to monitor and protect a vacant building from unauthorized access, vandalism, theft, and other security threats. The guard will be responsible for conducting hourly patrols, reporting suspicious activities, and ensuring the overall security of the premises. The ideal candidate will have strong observational skills, the ability to handle emergency situations, and experience in security enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct hourly patrols of the entire building, including interior and exterior areas, to ensure no unauthorized individuals are present.
Monitor entrances, exits, windows, doors, and other vulnerable access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
Detect and report signs of forced entry, trespassing, vandalism, or suspicious activity.
Ensure that security lighting, locks, and surveillance systems are functioning properly and report any malfunctions.
Respond to alarms or security breaches and follow company protocols for handling security incidents.
Maintain a detailed log of patrol rounds, incidents, and observations, documenting any unusual occurrences.
Coordinate with local law enforcement if illegal activity is detected.
Enforce company security policies and adhere to post orders.
Perform additional security duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.
Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physically capable of walking, standing, and patrolling for extended periods.
Knowledge of basic security procedures, self-defense, and emergency response is a plus.
Must pass a background check.

Working Conditions:

Outdoor and indoor patrols in various weather conditions.
Exposure to potential security risks, including trespassers or criminal activity.
May involve standing or walking for long periods.
Night shifts or irregular hours depending on security needs.
