Job Description:

Basic Job Function:

Protect guests, members, team members and Sea Island Acquisitions LLC property against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and other circumstances that would disturb the peace and good order on property. Promote the Sea Island legacy of warm genuine hospitality while upholding and ensuring compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Prevent unauthorized persons from entering Sea Island property. Assist the Assistant Director and Director of Security in managing the Security Department.

Minimum Requirements:

Familiarity with all Security Team Members
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Computer skills, exercise good judgment, initiative, cooperation, discretion
Ability to multi-task
Valid GA driver’s license
Must be flexible to work days, nights, early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively
Must be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
Proficient in Windows XP and Microsoft Office applications such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes
Must understand and demonstrate a complete understanding of Sea Island Acquisitions LLC Rules for Coaching, Counseling and Discipline

Tasks/Responsibilities:

Maintain coaching and counseling documentation on assigned security team members.
Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Security Department
Oversee the performance of security personnel
Assist in training of all security personnel
Update Sea Island Acquisitions LLC team members training in UltiPro
Maintain training materials and order training supplies as required
Review/approve security officer’s daily reports
Manages the follow up of Incident Reports, Employee Injury/Illness Reports, and General Liability Claim Reports
Manages the follow up of security officer’s daily reports
Patrol, investigate incidents of thefts and guest/member complaints Conduct other investigations as required or directed
Periodically fill position vacancies on the schedule
Report to work at the schedule time, neatly groomed and in a clean uniform and following company Dress Code policy
Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas
Uphold appropriate department standards of quality/timing
Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to the Assistant Director and Director of Security
Answer any questions guest and members have about Sea Island or area to the best of one’s ability
Answer telephone and respond to caller’s request for assistance. Refer routine calls to appropriate individuals or departments as required
Operate base radio while giving clear instructions using 10 codes as needed
Dispatch Security staff as required
Send appropriate alerts to management as needed
Monitor Security Department cameras
Attend all schedule team members meetings and brings suggestions for improvement

Understand the payroll process and be able to approve payroll
Understand the scheduling process and be able to make adjustments as needed

Physical Requirements:

Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
Must have the ability to work for extended times in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, higher than normal noise levels vibration, and airborne particulates
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
Ability to crawl and run
Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards
Ability to maintain compliance with Sea Island’s Company Resort Professional Image Policy

Other Requirements:
