Ensures all WVU Innovation Corporation and tenant materials are received, stored, and distributed in a proper and prudent manner. Ensures complete accountability for inputting and retrieving data in the materials management module as required. Assists WVU Innovation Corporation tenants with ensuring materials are received and distributed accordingly and in a safe manner. The position also assists the Security department with the enforcement of policies and procedures to provide a safe, secure environment in support of the Security Program for the WVU Innovation Corporation and Peak facility locations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent

2. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

3. Obtain certification in Heartsaver First Aid within 90 days of hire date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Previous experience/certification operating a pallet jack or reach truck is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

1. One year of Supply Chain experience in a warehouse environment.

2. Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software.

3. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or the Security field.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Coordinates with tenants on utilization of dock and warehouse spaces.

2. Develops and maintains systems which assure the accuracy of perpetual inventory counts

3. Develops and maintains inventory locator systems to facilitate easy retrieval for all items.

4. Operates all pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other equipment associated with dock/warehouse operations in a safe manner.

5. Monitors the operation of all pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other equipment by tenants to ensure safe operations.

6. Provides inventory management expertise and provides liaison services between tenants and the WVUIC staff.

7. Conducts the year-end physical inventory and other periodic inventory counts, as necessary.

8. Coordinates special deliveries for tenants and facilitates delivery of the items to their space.

9. Serves as a key staff member and resource to the Director as it relates to supply chain operations.

10. Assists the director in developing and monitoring budget cost centers as assigned by the director.

11. Maintains proficiency in the use of Lawson/Crystal and coordinates with the Application System Analyst to assure that the Lawson database is maintained in a current and accurate manner.

12. Provides reports through Lawson, Crystal or electronic spreadsheets as requested.

13. Assists in training other personnel (Materials Handling Attendants, Inventory Control Analysts, etc.) with respect to inventory management and other related Lawson functions.

14. Initiates positive customer service interaction and provides appropriate assistance to visitors, vendors, staff, and other tenants assigned to the WVU Innovation Corporation (WVUIC) site.

15. Monitors and maintains traffic flow at the WVUIC site for all parking lots, garages, roadways, and dock areas.

16. Protects people and property by assisting in the prevention of accidents, theft, and vandalism, in accordance with company policies and procedures, as monitored by supervision.

17. Maintains consistent presence and visibility by performing routine building rounds, building door unlocks, exterior building and parking lot patrols.

18. Monitors all facilities on the WVUIC site for any major leaks of fluid, air leaks, equipment alarms, or other major facility issues and immediately notifies Maintenance employees according to company policy and procedures.

19. Reports suspicious situations, circumstances, incidents, and persons, according to company policy and procedures.

20. Provides written documentation of activities, incidents, premises safety issues, accidents, theft, vandalism, and other data requested by supervision in a factual, objective, and legible manner.

21. Responds to and provides assistance to visitors, vendors, staff, and tenants assigned to the WVUIC site during emergency situations such as assaults, domestic disputes, fire, vandalism, bomb threats, theft, vehicle accidents, disasters, etc.

22. Operates company-owned vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, 100% of the time.

23. Monitors and controls the access of visitors, vendors, staff, and other clients assigned to the WVUIC site according to company policy and entry control procedures.

24. Other requirements: Incident Reporting, Routine Building Rounds, Incident Investigation, Disaster Response, Domestic Disputes, Parking Enforcement, Consistence Presence and Visibility, Media Issues, Engages in Traffic Direction, Policy Enforcement, Investigation of Alarms, Duress, etc., Battery Jumps, Parking Rounds, Effective Radio Communication, and Loss Prevention. Perform other duties as assigned.

1. Requires prolonged sitting and time on feet, some bending, stooping, and stretching.

2. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.

3. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate reports.

4. Ability to lift, push or pull 80 pounds.

5. Ability to tolerate adverse environmental conditions for entire shift and/or double shift.

6. Evaluation by Occupational Medicine required upon hire or transfer to ensure medical fitness. Periodic evaluation after hire required. Any significant changes in health-status must be reported.

4. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Maintains a high degree of customer service commitment with the ability to communicate data in front of diverse groups.

5. Knowledge of inventory control methods, purchasing. contracting, services, and daily operations.

6. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
