Summary:
We’re seeking an experienced Security Systems Technician skilled in servicing and repairing Access Control, Alarm, and CCTV systems within commercial buildings. This role requires a strong background in troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing these systems to ensure safety and security. Experience with Fire Alarm system service and repair is also a valuable asset. Ideal candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of various security technologies, and will prioritize customer satisfaction, addressing clients’ needs efficiently and professionally.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and configure low-voltage systems, including intrusion alarms, access control, IP/analog CCTV, and fire & life safety systems.
Install new systems and devices, running and terminating wiring as needed.
Program and configure systems, ensuring optimal functionality and security.
Provide detailed job completion summaries and assist with invoicing.
Consults with client on system requirements, and operation; provides system recommendations and cost estimates.
Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency service requests.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Highly experienced in low voltage electrical systems, including Access Control, Alarm, and CCTV. (Fire/Life Safety Systems is valued)
Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and service complex equipment.
Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
Proficiency with hand and power tools, basic software, and technical documentation.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage clients positively and handle questions and concerns.
Must have a clean driving record to operate the company vehicle.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational/technical school training highly preferred; on-the-job training may be provided.
5 years minimum of related experience.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
Physically able to install system hardware and wiring.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary. On call rotation every 2-3 weeks is required.

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
