Surveillance Operator (Full-Time) Job at Red Deer Resort & Casino – Red Deer, AB
The Surveillance Operator is responsible but not limited to visually monitor all gaming standards within the casino and ensure that all illegal activity and/or activities that are in violation of casino policies and procedures are reported and investigated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures the safety of patrons, employees, and property of the Casino
Promotes positive public relations
Responsible for surveillance functions at assigned station
Observes participants in table games detect cheating, identify rule violators, and monitors persons designated, suspicious or ‘persons of interest
Notifies management of all suspicious activity within the Casino
Records and reports any irregular gaming activity
Creates and writes up various reports and records
Monitors and communicates with security personal in crises
Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed for the overall success of the Casino
Qualifications:
A minimum of high school or equivalent (GED) is required.
At least one (1) year of previous surveillance experience is preferred, although such experience is not necessary.
Previous casino experience is preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
AGLC gaming licensing is a requirement for this position, which includes a criminal record check.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and the internet.
Excellent observation skills with strong attention to detail.
Must have the ability to multi-task.
Must be motivated and willing to learn.

Surveillance: 1 year (preferred)
Competitive compensation will be based on experience and education. Compensation includes individual and family health and life insurance.
Part-time hours: 25 per week
