Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. Responsible for maintaining and confirming proper access to a private and gated community. This position requires punctuality, customer service, self-management and alertness. In addition, this position may be called upon to perform other related duties as may be required from time to time.
Responsibilities:
· Control all access to the community
· Enforcing road restrictions when applicable
· Providing customer service to owners and their guests
· Situation response
· Reading daily log sheets, emails, and other communication pieces pertaining to the position
· Having a detailed understanding of camera and software systems
· Monitor all traffic to ensure that posted signage is being obeyed
· Report on all incidents and events verbally and in written reports
· Issue traffic reprimands either orally or in writing
· Communicate delivery and guest arrivals to owners
· Monitor the community post office
· Distribute construction passes
Qualifications:
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Able to follow written and verbal directions
· Be an effective team member, yet work independently
· Have good organizational skills
· Adaptable to an ever-changing environment
· Able to work outside and navigate a vehicle in inclement weather
· Must have a valid driver’s license and clean record
· Must be able to communicate in the English language. A good understanding of the language is beneficial.
