The Role at a GlanceThe Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will set the vision, strategy, and leadership for the IT Infrastructure Delivery Organization. The SVP will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership across the IT Infrastructure functions to significantly improve service quality, resiliency, and performance of the underlying infrastructure and associated operational processes that support the Enterprise 24X7. S/he will lead transformational strategies to build out a mature disaster recovery program, drive improved client satisfaction, faster speed to market, cost optimization and organizational efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
Define and execute the strategy and roadmap for IT infrastructure and operations solutions to anticipate and address current and evolving business needs, opportunities, and trends.
Develop and drive a strategy that balances the design of various infrastructure hosting platforms and DevOps pipelines on premises and/or in the cloud.
Oversee the design, build and performance functions for all computing platforms and data storage infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, voice, and databases.
Set and oversee a data center migration plan (including turning down two Lincoln-owned data centers); lead the migration of applications and services to the cloud, managing a seamless transition process.
Develop and implement co-location strategies to optimize resource utilization, stability, cost efficiency and system performance.
Establish a mature Disaster Recovery plan, in partnership with the Office of Business Resilience and business leaders to strengthen business continuity plans, ensuring rapid recovery and a clear prioritization framework in the event of major disruptions.
Assess and communicate risk and mitigation strategies associated with IT investments and any associated impacts to the enterprise, senior leadership, and executive stakeholders.
Lead strategies to provide a stable and reliable environment for all system users to ensure business goals can be met.
Develop and drive consistent communication strategies on system impacts, root cause analyses and issue resolution to key stakeholders.
Ensure a proactive and transparent view of system performance through the production of daily and monthly KPI reporting.
Ensure effective capacity and demand management for all infrastructure components.
Maintain effective vendor relationships to ensure collaboration in achieving enterprise goals. Effectively manage SLAs to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues with IT partners and vendors.
Lead strategy to enhance office location technology set-ups to support efficient and effective in-office working, balancing flexible work arrangements with a stronger in-office presence in the future.
Experience enabling hybrid onshore / offshore workforce capabilities.
Participate as a member of the Corporate Leadership Group for Lincoln Financial Group and the IT senior leadership team.
