JOB TITLE: Security Host
REPORTS TO: Security Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Security
FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt
POSITION SUPERVISED: None
JOB SUMMARY: The Security Host will be responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, guests, team members, park, and all visitors.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow security procedures to implement a secure facility.
Performs security patrols to report any suspicious activity.
Protects property from theft, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
Provides any needed assistance to guests, team members and visitors following the department’s procedures.
Work independently and follow procedures with minimal observation.
Provide suggestions for improved security procedures.
Respond to emergency situations.
Greeting guests, visitors, and team members in a friendly and courteous manner.
Provide excellent customer service.
Keep a clean orderly work area.
Provide guests with accurate park information.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Complete required paperwork in its entirety daily.
Maintain an environment where safety is the number one concern for all guests, team members and visitors.
Adhere to company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters.
Provide a reporting leader with feedback, ideas, and suggestions on a timely consistent basis.
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Minimum 2 years in security related role preferred
Availability: Must be available on weekends
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays overnight events and weekends
Must be able to maintain positive, respectful relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituencies, including employees, community leaders and senior management.
Must have highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
Must have a proactive, goal-oriented, can-do attitude. Positive and effective customer service skills.
Ability and willingness to up-sell products and services.
Must have good teamwork orientation.
