Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to conflict management, loss prevention, and surveillance, ensuring that all security protocols are followed meticulously. The Armed Security Officer will utilize their training to effectively manage any incidents that may arise.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to disturbances, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
Conduct thorough inspections of premises and property to ensure safety and compliance with security protocols.
Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Document all incidents accurately and prepare reports for management review.
Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed during emergencies.
Requirements
Must possess a valid armed security officer certification.
Proven experience in loss prevention, surveillance techniques, and conflict management.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during shifts.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, staff, and law enforcement personnel.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
Current certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
Must pass background checks and meet all legal requirements for armed security personnel.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Day shift
Weekends as needed
Education:
High school or equivalent (Required)
License/Certification:
Virginia DCJS armed security registration (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
Woodbridge, VA 22191: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
