POSITION TITLE: Security Director
LOCATION: Prescott, AZ
REPORTS TO: Casino General Manager
SCOPE OF WORK: Ensure safety and security of all employees and guests at Yavapai Gaming Agency (YGA) facilities. Responsible for management of Lead Security Officers, Security Officer II’s, Security Officers and Shuttle Personnel.
Will become familiar with the Tribal Gaming Code, Tribal/State Gaming Compact, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) Regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Title 31, and the Yavapai Gaming Commission (YGC) Departmental Internal Controls and Job Instructions.

The below duties and responsibilities are not an all-inclusive list but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position;
Will be responsible for meeting annual operating budgets and YGA Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as identified;
Will conduct Emergency Operations Procedures Plan (EOP) for Casino Operations and be a Gaming representative at Tribal EOP meetings;
Will establish and maintain departmental Internal Controls as necessary to ensure the security of all applicable YGA property employees and guests;
Will monitor employee performance to ensure that work is performed per department Internal Controls and Job Instructions and as required ensuring effective security;
Will establish and review Security and Shuttle staff work assignment schedules and requests for paid time off;
Will prepare and conduct performance evaluations for personnel at established intervals, and review performance evaluations prepared by subordinate personnel when applicable;
Will monitor and take action when necessary regarding employee accuracy and efficiency and Compact and MICS violation reports;
Will conduct personnel hiring, termination, promotions and disciplinary actions;
Will coordinate with the Training Department regarding training requirements, on-the-job training and scheduling;
Will collaborate with all other YGA departments to ensure an efficient operation of the business as it relates to safety and security;
Will coordinate with Purchasing regarding supply requirements;
Will coach key personnel to assist them in the efficient performance of their jobs;
Will assure that a superior guest service level is maintained, even in sensitive situations;
Will conduct periodic one-on-one meetings/working sessions with key personnel.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a high school diploma or GED;
Must have at least three years’ experience in Security background or one year experience as a Yavapai Gaming Security Officer;
Must have at least three years’ managerial experience.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to the Tribal/Gaming’s Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment;
Must pass a background security check prior to and during the course of employment with the Tribal/Gaming Agency in order to meet the Tribal/State Gaming Compact and/or Tribal Gaming Code;
Must adhere to all Tribal/Gaming Agency Personnel Policies and Procedures;
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong orientation to excellent guest service;
Must be self-reliant and capable of working independently as appropriate or necessary;
Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License and be insurable under the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe’s auto insurance carrier;
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
Must be able to lift and periodically carry up to 75 lbs.;
Must be able to work flexible hours.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Prefer Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement or related field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,613.00 – $72,635.00 per year
