-Job Summary
The job holder shall be responsible to implement policies and strategy for information security and manage the team of application security engineers to deliver efficient support services and ensure the entity’s security information architecture.
-Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Participate in developing work policies, procedures, guidelines, and technical standards related to application security, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
2. Stay up to date with future trends and relevant laws and regulations.
3. Engage with key business sector and IT leaders to develop security standards, business continuity and business plans to ensure the security and business continuity of the entity’s applications.
4. Oversee all security reviews and tasks to ensure that the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information is not compromised to the end-users of the applications.
5. Ensure the validity of tools or technologies that reduce the risk of “security denial of service” for attacks on applications.
6. Lead the data design processes at the entity level to ensure that security and confidentiality needs are included, and to improve the balance between data access speed and confidentiality.
7. Manage the data structure, preserving operational data, how to restore it, and how to ensure the security of this data.
8. Ensure the security of data models and database design.
9. Define institutional standards for data security and confidentiality, policies and procedures for the organization.
10. Analyse database security needs, lead to appropriate design, and improve database security management systems.
11. Formulate methodologies and techniques that clarify the flow of data within and between technology systems and business / process functions.
12. Prepare the application security plan and following up on its implementation and updating.
13. Perform other duties as requested to meet the ongoing organizational needs.
-Specific Working Conditions:
Office based job, might need to attend meetings outside the ministry.
-Essential Education:
Bachelor’s degrees in computer, IT, cybersecurity or related field.
-Required Certification/ Licensure:
•Specialized courses in information security, standards and techniques related to application development
•Specialized courses on methodologies for developing and testing applications and identifying security gaps in them
•Specialized courses in databases, design, integration and systems analysis
-Essential Experience:
Based on the education and experience, the grade would vary in line with the HR law.
• Experience in the field of information technology of large and complex, and in application and database security management systems and conducting various security tests.
-Language Skills:
Advanced level of Arabic and English language
-Computer Skills:
Advanced level skills in Microsoft office applications
