Job Summary
The Medical Device Cybersecurity Analyst will respond to cybersecurity alerts, ensure Client KPIs are met, perform audits and risk assessments of medical devices, and provide subject matter expertise using Crothall resources for medical device cybersecurity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor and respond to Crothall’s medical device asset and cybersecurity management platform findings and mitigation steps.
Maintain strong knowledge of computers, operating systems, security, and networking.
Interpret technical documentation and manuals.
Generate and build client reports bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
Perform GAP analysis on discovered medical devices with Crothall’s CMMS.
Create security work orders in Crothall’s CMMS and assign as applicable.
Triage, respond, and assign work orders from Crothall’s cybersecurity module.
Ensure timely completion of work orders within KPI standards and assist site resources if needed.
Research and engage OEMs for patches and firmware upgrades.
Maintain database of approved patches, firmware upgrades, and MDS2 forms.
Collaborate with clients on mitigating steps and controls for medical devices.
Participate in Crothall’s CEIT Council.
Maintain operational security metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
Assist in threat intelligence gathering and monitoring zero-day threats.
Contribute to best practices and risk management of connected medical devices.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety criteria.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of medical equipment.
High attention to detail and quality work.
Experience with process improvement.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Overnight travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare experience; biomedical or diagnostic imaging knowledge.
Knowledge of healthcare cybersecurity.
Experience with CMMS platforms.
Knowledge of connected medical device discovery and risk analysis platforms.
Education
Associates degree in Information Technology or Biomedical Engineering.
Security+ certification within 3 years.
BMET certification preferred.
