This is a remote position.

Panagora Group seeks Technical Writer Consultants for the five-year USAID-funded Localize Global Health Security (LGHS) project. The project will work with local partners in priority countries to address critical health security gaps and strengthen global health security capabilities as defined in their national health security action plans, contributing to their Global Health Security Agenda 2024 targets.

The Technical Writer Consultants will be responsible for collaborating with LGHS team members to produce quality communications products. The position requires an individual that is highly organized and a strong communicator. They should be well-suited to lead and contribute to the drafting and finalization of a variety of communication products. The Technical Writer Consultants will report to the Learning and Communications Advisor and work closely with other project teams and staff (depending on the assignment). The Consultants will be engaged as needed for short-term assignments. This position is located remotely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct organizational capacity strengthening/global health security desk research.

Draft outlines for review and develop interview questions and facilitate remote interviews with project staff and subject matter experts.

Analyze and synthesize research based on project or client priorities, ensuring that research is consistent.

Provide high quality writing and editing for all technical documents.

Work collaboratively with appropriate LGHS team members to fine-tune language according to client and project preferences or standard.

Ensure that materials are consistent with LGHS’s editorial style guide and branding requirements.

Respond to and incorporate staff and client feedback into an outline and up to two drafts of the final deliverable.

Requirements
Advanced degree in public health, international development, or related relevant field.

Four (4) or more years of previous experience publishing white papers, research, toolkits, guidelines, journal articles or other technical documents.

Previous experience working in public health and international development preferred.

Outstanding writing and ability to convert technical content for lay audiences.

Must be detail-oriented and excellent proofreader.

Familiarity with global health policy and programs is strongly preferred.

Effective time management skills and ability to perform under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Proficiency in French and/or Portuguese desired.

Excellent attention to detail and American English grammar.

Proficient in MS Office suite.
