Job Summary
The Campus Security position maintains safety and security within and around an assigned building and its properties. The role serves as the first point of contact for staff, students, parents, patrons, and visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Report criminal activity or rumors of such activity to the principal and administrators.
Patrol the building, assist in controlling student movement and behavior.
Follow a security schedule outlining movements and locations throughout the day.
Patrol campus areas such as parking lots, gyms, and other buildings, supervising additional areas at critical times.
Handle or assist in stopping fights, resolving conflicts, and addressing disturbances, making referrals as needed.
Approach unauthorized persons on campus, direct them away, and notify the principal of persistent trespassers.
Assist in supervising school activities like games and dances.
Meet weekly with the principal to discuss activities and issues.
Perform minor first aid, evaluate injuries, and complete necessary paperwork. Administer medications within scope of training and policies.
Understand and adhere to district policies and procedures.
Maintain consistent, punctual attendance.
