Full Job Description
Armed Security Officer
Duties:
– Provide armed security services to protect personnel, property, and assets
– Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect potential security threats
– Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to suspicious activities
– Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises
– Respond promptly to emergency situations, including medical incidents, fires, or criminal activities
– Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation of security-related activities
– Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as needed
Qualifications:
– Must possess a valid armed security officer license/certification
– Previous experience in conflict management, law enforcement, or loss prevention preferred
– Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
– Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR certification is a plus
– Strong observation and surveillance skills
– Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
– Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
– Must be physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods
