Job Summary:
The security team leader is responsible for providing leadership to the gate guards and patrol guards. Like the patrol guards, the security team leader is responsible for patrolling and enforcing the rules that River Bend has in place to keep guests safe! The security team leader may also assist the director of security with facilitating interviews, training, and meetings.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
· Must have effective oversight of guard duties.
· Interacts with guests and employees.
· Projects a positive image.
· In the absence of the director of security, the security team leader is required to take charge of incidents when they occur in the park.
Qualifications:
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· Must possess a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
· Must have a stable work history.
· Must have at least 3 years of security experience.
· Must have proven leadership abilities.
· CPR/First Aid/AED certified
· Must have conflict resolution skills.
· Must have integrity.
· Must be team oriented.
· Must have exceptional customer service skills.
· Must have a professional attitude and appearance.
· Must have the ability to commit to work from April 15th to October 15th.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in criminal justice.
· Military experience
· Law enforcement experience
· Wisconsin Guard Card
· Campground experience
· Bilingual
Mental/Physical Requirements:
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Exceptional communication skills.
· Good verbal de-escalation skills.
· Good computer skills.
· This job requires frequent standing, walking, and patrolling.
Work Environment:
· May experience long periods of standing, walking, and patrolling.
· May encounter disgruntled guests.
· More than 80% of the work is performed outside. So, the security team leader may be exposed to inclement weather (i.e., rain, wind, heat, and cold).
