This security officer’s job is to prevent security and safety issues before they happen, and when an issue does arise, to take appropriate measures to ensure guest safety, while maintaining the delicate balance between providing security and not interfering with the enjoyment of the guest’s stay.
Job Duties:
Inspect and patrol premises regularly
Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings
Secure all exits, doors and windows
Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
Provide assistance to people in need
Submit daily activity reports
Submit reports of every suspicious action
Skills
Some security positions require standing and/or walking during shift
Must have a current Florida D license
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must have a smartphone, with the ability to download and use security app while on duty
