Shift Details:
Saturday and Sunday 8:00am to 8:00pm
Monday and Tuesday 4:00pm to Midnight
This is a front desk position inside a residential building in Downtown Dallas. Candidates must have customer service experience as this position requires a great deal on interaction with people.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety standards.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor premises for security breaches.
Enforce rules and regulations, maintaining order and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary.
Prepare detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations or emergencies.
Participate in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
Requirements
Previous experience in law enforcement or security-related roles is preferred.
Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques is a plus.
Must possess a valid security officer certification or be willing to obtain one.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
