Position: Unarmed Security Guard supporting Nuclear Regulatory Commission

Salary: Compensation on SCA covered Federal Contract consists of $17.20 Base pay +$4.57 Health and Welfare for total pay rate of $21.77; for all hours worked up to 40 hours per week. Any time worked over 40 hours in the work week is paid at 1.5X the base pay rate.
The Security Officer will be responsible for the following duties:
Room Protection:
Conduct regular security checks of the specified room every hour.
Verify the identity of all individuals entering or working in the room against the access list.
Ensure that all security measures and protocols are strictly followed.
Patrol Duties:
Perform hourly patrols of the two designated floors.
Monitor for any unusual activity or security breaches and report accordingly.
Ensure that all emergency exits and pathways are clear and unobstructed.
Logging and Reporting:
Maintain an hourly log of all activities, including security checks and patrol observations.
Document any incidents or irregularities encountered during the shift.
Immediately contact the designated points of contact in the event of an incident.
Hours:
The Security Officer will work approximately 168 hours per week.
Monday- Sunday 24 Hours a day.
Uniform:
All security personnel shall be in a uniform that is provided by the Contractor at all times while on duty.
Security officers will be unarmed at all times during their shift.
Communication:
All Security Officers are required to have a cell phone to be able to communicate with USNRC personnel in case of incident.
Requirements:
Guard Card
3 years of previous security experience preferred
Proficient in English (written and spoken)
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be in good physical condition, able to complete frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping.
