Position Overview
We are seeking a professional and alert Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our cannabis dispensary, its employees, customers, and assets. This position is responsible for maintaining a secure environment while following state regulations and company protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor facility entrances, exits, and premises
Verify customer identification and documentation
Control access to restricted areas
Perform regular security sweeps
Monitor security cameras and systems
Respond to security incidents and emergencies
Maintain visitor logs and security documentation
Escort employees during cash transfers
Monitor parking areas and external premises
Prevent unauthorized access
Customer Service
Greet customers professionally
Direct customers to appropriate areas
Manage customer flow and queuing
De-escalate potential conflicts
Assist with customer questions
Maintain professional appearance
Support compliance with facility rules
Compliance & Documentation
Follow state cannabis security regulations
Complete incident reports
Maintain security logs
Document unusual activities
Report compliance concerns
Support regulatory inspections
Follow company SOPs
Required Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older
Ability to obtain and maintain required state badges/permits for cannabis industry work / Background Check -$75.00 / Fingerprint – $43.00
Ability to pass a background
Valid driver’s license
First aid and CPR certification
Strong observation skills
Professional demeanor
