Unarmed Security Officer (Level 3 Qualified)
Location: Coral Gables University of Miami Campus
Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Sunday & Monday evenings, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Compensation: $19.00 per hour

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Unarmed Security Officers. This part-time position requires working Sunday and Monday evenings, from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients by patrolling and monitoring premises, as well as identifying and reporting any security or safety issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect and deter unauthorized persons and potential security threats.
Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
Ensure that all security protocols and procedures are followed.
Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances promptly and efficiently.
Prepare detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and customers, when required.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel when needed.
Perform any other security-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Must be qualified for Level 3 Unarmed Security Officer status.
Prior experience in security services, law enforcement, or military background is required. At least 3 years of Security experience is required.
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in security administration or similar field is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position, including patrolling the premises regularly.
Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED is desirable.
