Summary
The Security Officer works under the supervision of the Community Association manager and/or chief of security. Responsibilities include patrolling and inspecting homes and campus buildings.
Competencies
Knowledge of tools.
Willingness to work all shifts, all days.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
AED and CPR certification.
Proven leadership capabilities.
Cooperation- Establishes and maintains effective relations; exhibits tact and consideration; offers assistance and support to co-workers; works cooperatively in group situations.
Safety and Security- Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and use hands. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee should have the ability to walk two miles. The employee must have the ability to lift 50 pounds at chest level. Works in a variety of weather conditions, some may be severe. Self-starter required, and personnel skills a must. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
