Licensed unarmed Security officers needed.
We are looking for Security Officers to maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
Unarmed Security Detail for Migrant Shelters
Position Title:Unarmed Security Officer
Location:(North/West of Chicago)
Organization:Non-for-profit organization
Job Type:Full-time short term (6 months-1 year)
Responsibilities:
Provide security and safety for residents, staff, and visitors within the migrant shelter premises.
Monitor access points, conduct regular patrols, and respond to incidents promptly.
Ensure compliance with shelter rules and regulations.
Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a secure environment.
Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in security or related field preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and respectful demeanor toward migrants.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Pass a background check.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is a plus.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage

Working conditions:
Some sites consist of Indoor and outdoor posts which may involve inclement weather conditions, i.e., rain, snow, extreme heat.
Physical requirement:
With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain and from time to time running.
Additional physical requirements may include, frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
Job Type: Fulltime to Part-time Positions and Shifts Available first come first serve basis!
Experience:
Customer Service: 1-3 year + (Preferred)
Security: 1-3 years + (Preferred)
Schools, Mosques, Churches, Synagogues, Special Events etc…
Parking lot security, traffic control officer.
