Unarmed Security Officer
Pay Rate: 17.00 per hour
Location: Wilkes Barre, PA
Shift(s)
1. Monday – Friday 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
2. Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
3. Monday – Thursday 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Duties & Responsibilities
Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) monitoring
Foot patrol of client site
Follow a set route schedule
Provide excellent customer service
Pleasantly welcomes and screens all guests
Issues identification badges to all visitors.
Directs or escorts guests to appropriate destinations.
Must be in company issued uniform at all times.
Must be punctual and on time for all shifts.
Observes and reports unusual or suspicious activity
Interacts with staff and guests in a courteous manner
Coordinates with other team members to provide a safe and secure environment
Promptly answer telephone calls with a polite and courteous manner.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of security experience.
Ability to walk approximately 8,000 steps per shift
Must have at least five years of working experience in customer service
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Reliable means of communication (active smartphone with the ability to download apps)
Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written)
Reliable means of transportation
Must be punctual and ready to work at the start of every shift
Must have a friendly, outgoing personality, and work well with others
Must be professional and courteous with supervisors, and fellow team members
Successfully pass Background Investigation
Successfully pass PA State Criminal Background Check
Preferred Qualifications:
Corrections and/or Law Enforcement experience
