Overview
We are hiring for a position with two different locations; a medical/counseling clinic (in Arvada) and a buffet restaurant (in Aurora). The clinic provides care for substance abuse most specifically opioid dependence; and the guard monitors the lobby waiting area. At the restaurant, it’s a buffet style; and the guard deters food theft and security.
Schedule
Mon: Day off
Tue: Day off
Wed: Clinic, 530am to 6pm
Thu: Clinic, 530am to 2pm
Fri: Restaurant, 330pm to 830pm
Sat: Restaurant, 1230pm to 830pm
Sun: Restaurant, 1230pm to 830pm
Total of 42 hours per week
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
With both locations, the guard will be standing most of their shift. So it’s essential that the guard has the fitness ability for continuous standing (except for the breaks).
Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Manage conflict situations effectively, utilizing conflict management techniques.
Use minimum physical force to protect people.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activities or behaviors.
Qualifications
2 years minimum security experience.
Ability for continuous standing.
Knowledge and experience with use of force.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
Background in military service is a plus.
Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and practices is beneficial.
Excellent customer service skills experience.
Excellent communication skills.
