Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Duties
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by replenishing supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed to ensure floors are well-maintained.
Assist with industrial cleaning projects as required, including deep cleaning of equipment and facilities.
Support facilities maintenance by reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Carry out commercial cleaning duties in various settings, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
Execute residential painting tasks when necessary to enhance the appearance of the facility.
Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning schedules are met efficiently.
Qualifications
Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred; experience in industrial cleaning is a plus.
Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and commercial cleaning techniques.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Knowledge of floor care procedures including buffing and waxing is desirable.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the shift.
