Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in safeguarding property and ensuring the safety of individuals on-site.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Conduct regular inspections of premises, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain first aid supplies.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations.
Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities for record-keeping.
Requirements
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention techniques is an asset.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must possess a valid security officer license or certification as required by local regulations.
Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process.
