We are looking for competent Security Officers to join our Team at Talon Premier Security LTD.
You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.
A Security Officer’s role is to undertake the surveillance of a location and to protect clients, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping the facilities safe and problem-free.
Responsibilities:
Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
Provide assistance to people in need
Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Requirements:
Proven experience as security officer (minimum 1 yr experience)
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
Familiarity with report writing / ability to write reports and correspondence in a clear and concise manner
Excellent surveillance and observation skills
Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
Registered as a security officer
High School diploma is required
Current IL PERC Card (Permanent Employee Registration Card)
Requires the physical and mental capacity to perform all essential functions effectively. 1-2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the Talon Premier Security. Relevant experience can be substituted with education of applicable proficiency of the above-mentioned job duties.
In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include:
· Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
· Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures
· Ability to be an effective team member
