The Qualifying Agent is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the company’s compliance with Georgia state regulations and licensing requirements for private security services.
This role involves managing compliance, maintaining licensing, and ensuring all operational practices adhere to industry standards and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the security company adheres to all state and federal regulations governing security operations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including those related to licensing, training, and operational procedures.
Licensing and Certification:
Oversee the application and renewal process for all necessary licenses and certifications.
Manage the company’s compliance with licensing requirements, including the submission of reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
Training and Certification:
Ensure that all employees are properly trained and certified according to state requirements.
Develop and implement training programs for staff to meet regulatory standards and enhance operational efficiency.
Policy Development:
Develop and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Update company policies as necessary to reflect changes in laws and regulations.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized records related to licensing, training, and compliance.
Prepare and submit necessary documentation for audits and inspections.
Inspection and Audits:
Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
Address any findings or recommendations from inspections and audits to ensure continued compliance.
Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on compliance status, training progress, and other relevant metrics for senior management.
Address and resolve any compliance issues or discrepancies.
Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies.
Communicate with staff to ensure they are aware of and adhere to compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or higher education preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in a compliance or regulatory role within the security industry; previous experience as a Qualifying Agent is highly desirable.
Certifications: Required state certifications for a Qualifying Agent; additional security industry certifications are a plus.
Skills: Strong understanding of security regulations and licensing requirements; excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Work Environment:
The role typically involves office work, but may also require occasional site visits or meetings with regulatory agencies.

Pay: Up to $95,000.00 per year
