Hours – 9pm to 5am I Wednesday through Saturday
We are looking for a competent Security Supervisor to organize and oversee area security operations of our company according to our South Floria Region (Palm Beach). Security personnel will be under your command while maintain security standards on individual assignments. You will be responsible for training new recruits, shift coverage accountability, supervision of shift activities and being available to respond to management regarding personnel and operations.
As security sergeant, you will have to demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills. You will need a strong sense of self leadership guidance, knowledge of company guidelines.
Customer Service is a must, you will have limited client interactions and be expected to perform in a professional manner in all encounters.
Responsibilities
Enforce security policies, protocols and procedures
Budget awareness for security operations, overtime and monitor expenses
Recruit, train and supervise security officers and guards
Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs
Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies
Review daily reports on incidents and breaches
Investigate and resolve issues
Create reports for management on security status
Work Varied Shifts and Alternate Days off
Work security posts as needed
Skills
Proven experience as security shift manager or similar position
Experience using relevant technology
Experience in report writing skills
Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Committed and reliable
Further education in security administration or similar field will be an asset
A combination of total work experience will be considered to qualify for a shift supervisor position. High School with tenured experience in management (3yr+), An Associate Degree, Formal education in Criminal Justice, Armed Services equivalent or other experience of similiar field.
Starting Pay rate will depend on candidate experience and qualifications, we work of a sliding scale to evaluate the credentials listed. Expected minimum $16.75 hourly.
The position will require self management to ensure all duties required are being completed. It is a field supervisor that will report to the Security Manager.
