About the Special Events Security Officer:
The Special Event Security team at Belmont Park ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests during events. Responsibilities include crowd monitoring, access control, conflict resolution, and enforcing park policies. Ideal candidates are attentive, professional, and capable of handling high-energy environments with confidence. Join us in creating a secure and welcoming atmosphere for every event!
What You’ll Do:
Be the Safety Ambassador: Welcome guests with a friendly presence, set the tone for a secure and enjoyable event, and share in the centennial excitement.
Protect the Fun: Monitor event areas, manage access, and ensure everyone enjoys a safe and memorable experience.
Honor the Legacy: Uphold the values of Belmont Park’s 100-year history by maintaining a respectful and secure environment for all.
Stay Vigilant: Respond swiftly to any concerns, enforce park policies, and maintain open communication with guests and team members.
Create a Welcoming Atmosphere: Assist guests with directions and information, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and secure.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand/walk (up to 8 hours daily); regularly use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear.
Must be able to perform major life activities: standing, lifting and bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling and sitting.
Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations with or without reasonable accommodation.?
The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Sufficient manual dexterity in hands with or without reasonable accommodation.?
Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace. Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges with or without reasonable accommodation.?
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Conduct night/overnight patrols as scheduled.
Skills/Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have a current CA BSIS Guard Card
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields preferred.
Familiarity with security equipment.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong ethical conduct.
Communication proficiency.
