Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This position requires a proactive individual with strong observational skills and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment.
Responsibilities
Monitor surveillance systems including CCTV to detect and respond to suspicious activities.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.
Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage.
Manage conflicts effectively, de-escalating situations when necessary.
Maintain detailed logs of incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
Collaborate with law enforcement when required for investigations or emergencies.
Ensure compliance with security protocols and procedures at all times.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
Assist in training new security personnel on protocols and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.
A valid security certificate is a plus but not required.
