Job Overview
The Domestic Violence Security Officer works a crucial role in supporting individuals affected by domestic violence. This position involves providing emotional support, resources, while ensuring their safety and well-being. Estimated start date is May 14, 2025, after 16 + hours of paid training.
Duties
Shelter for individuals and families, 45 day stay for people actively fleeing domestic violence.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and services provided while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
Three story building has about 10 rooms where families either share with others or individuals share spaces.
Monitor security system, set alarm, be available to clients with any emergencies, safety checks outside of the house and inside of the house throughout the night.
Restock bathrooms, remove and take out trash.

Qualifications
Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
Surveillance is a plus; familiarity with CCTV systems is beneficial.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and maintain a nonjudgmental attitude.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
Must be able to pass criminal history background check as required by organizational policies, (preferably a background clean of offenses).
This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those affected by domestic violence.
