The Role
This is an 8-week program from June 10th through August 13th.
Working hours:
Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Hybrid schedule:
Must be capable to work on-site 2-3 days per week at theNational Tennis Center – Queens NY.
Hourly rate: $20.00
This internship is designed for undergraduate students with a focus on law enforcement, sports security, or a related field, who are eager to contribute to the planning and execution of security andsafety protocolsat the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Tennis Center.
Assist the Security and Safety team with the development and implementation of security deployment plans for the US Open.
Collaborate in the preparation and execution of the medical plan, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants and attendees.
Help coordinate safety and security efforts for various aspects of the event, including crowd control, emergency response, and access control.
Support the team with logistical planning for security personnel, equipment, and other resources necessary for the event.
Observe and participate in security drills and meetings to gain a deeper understanding of event safety operations.
Assist in monitoring security operations during the event, providing on-site support and ensuring protocols are being followed.
Who You Are
Strong interest in event security, safety management, and law enforcement in the context of large-scale events.
Excellentcommunication skillsand the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in afast-paced environment.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn about event security and emergency planning.
