Job Summary:
Silver Shield Inc. currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong surveillance skills, conflict management abilities, and knowledge of law enforcement procedures.
Shifts Available:
Full-Time Officers: 40 hours a week 7:45- 5:15pm Monday through Friday
Part-Time Flex Officers: 8-14 hours a week between 7:45- 5:15pm Monday through Friday
Duties:
– Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure the safety and security of the premises
– Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activity
– Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
– Provide assistance and guidance to employees and visitors in emergency situations
– Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and prevent unauthorized access
– Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or hazards
– Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities
– Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
Skills:
– Strong surveillance skills to effectively monitor premises using CCTV systems
– Excellent conflict management abilities to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
– Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, including arrest techniques and legal rights
– CPR certification and first aid training to provide immediate medical assistance if needed
– Familiarity with loss prevention strategies to prevent theft or damage to property
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven 2 years of work experience as a Security Officer with Level 3 Certification
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Must have your own duty belt and handgun
