We are seeking a fluent Arabic speaker VP – Cybersecurity for our client based in Riyadh.
The VP of Cybersecurity is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s cybersecurity vision. This role ensures the protection of critical information assets, maintains regulatory compliance, and strengthens the organization’s resilience to cyber threats—particularly within the financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with business objectives and the organization’s risk tolerance.
Threat Intelligence & Adaptation:
Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and industry trends, adapting strategies to mitigate evolving risks effectively.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Risk Management:
Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies, including incident response and disaster recovery protocols.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, frameworks, and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001), maintaining a strong compliance posture.
Policy Governance:
Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines to support a consistent and secure operational environment.
Incident Response:
Oversee the cybersecurity incident response program, ensuring timely identification, containment, and recovery from security incidents.
Post-Incident Analysis:
Conduct thorough post-incident reviews to extract lessons learned and continuously improve response capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with IT, legal, risk management, and other key departments to align cybersecurity initiatives with organizational priorities.
Executive Communication:
Provide regular updates to senior leadership and the board, offering clear insights into cybersecurity risks, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations.
