The Vice President, IT Security is responsible for the overall strategy, execution, maintenance, and leadership for IT security within TPx. The position works closely with all leaders to ensure that business strategy and security technology strategies are tightly aligned. This position provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing security technology initiatives and directs the planning and implementation of IT security systems. This position requires considerable initiative and independent judgment in selecting work methods and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Note: This position is open to applicants in the US or Ireland. If applying from Ireland, some flexibility to work across US time zones is required (afternoon and evening time in Ireland.)Reports to (Supervisor/Manager):Chief Operating Officer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures systems integrity, stability, and availability for TPx Corporate Internal IT Security Systems.
Implements proactive solutions to minimize the exposure of the internal corporate infrastructure to modern threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
Owns internal and external audit of platform vulnerabilities and policy/process gaps and recommends improvements and implement gap closure solutions.
Continuously develop and implements TPx Information Security Policy, protocols, and procedures to improve Cyber Security Posture.
Analyzes and elevates current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement and propose solutions.
In coordination with HR, provide training and awareness programs for staff on IT security best practices.
Makes determinations on improving techniques, policies, processes, and procedures.
Remains current in the Information and/or Cyber Security Industry and maintain relevant and current education regarding modern threats within the industry.
Coordinates with business partners and develop strategies to support business value through best practice in the security and infrastructure space.
Partners with business units to create, modify and maintain workflows and other processes that enhance the TPx’s IT services’ practices.
Implements continuous improvement process providing feedback to executive management concerning possible problems and areas of improvement.
Provides day-to-day management of Infrastructure and Security Engineers. Mentor and provide guidance to team members to foster a collaborative, high-performing environment. Establish and monitor performance metrics.
Remains up to date with advances in technology, security and industry best practices
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Other Responsibilities:
Participates in budgetary discussions relative to TPx Information Security.
Remains engaged with technical forums and user groups.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related fields), or equivalent related experience/certification.
Ten (10) + years’ experience in Cyber Security or a relevant field.
Experience with managing a Firewall or Security Operations team.
Experience with managing an Infrastructure or Data Center team.
Experience resolving issues in a technical environment is required.
Experience in analyzing security logs generated by Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems.
Experience with ITIL framework and ITSM best practices.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
