Cyber Spring have been engaged by an exciting SaaS business to find a VP Systems & Security – a key hire for them in 2024.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the VP of Systems & Security will be responsible for managing the technology stack for their award-winning cloud assessment platform as well as taking complete ownership of security for the business including managing their ISO27001 compliant ISMS & implementing a DevSecOps strategy.
Key Responsibilities for the VP Systems & Security
Management of their Azure infrastructure & cloud platform ensuring systems & data are secure as well as highly available and fault tolerant
Optimising cloud services for performance and scalability
Ensuring cloud systems are developed to operate in a global environment and ensuring they are compliant to regulatory standards
Management of the ISO27001 compliant ISMS, ensuring the business achieves recertification and identified gaps are remediated efficiently
Working closely with a global development team to create and implement a DevSecOps strategy, ensuring security is embedded efficiently into the development lifecycle
Implement a security testing process and automate where possible
Create and implement disaster recovery and incident response processes to effectively deal with identified threats and security incidents
Selection and implementation of security tooling across the business
Manage, maintain, and enhance the company’s IT infrastructure
Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment to core business objectives including regular reporting and updates on systems & security
Desired skills and experience for the VP Systems & Security
Experience in a similar Systems and Security leadership position
Extensive knowledge of Azure and the Microsoft technology stack
Detailed knowledge of ISO27001 and ideally experience implementing the standard and achieving certification
Strong knowledge of programming languages including C#, Javascript & powershell and the ability to implement secure development processes
The ability to be “hands-on” as required and take ownership of solutions – this is an SME business and delegation of tasks isn’t always possible
Excellent communicator both written and verbal (Spanish language is a major plus)
Microsoft & security certifications are desirable
