Job Summary:
The Security Guard at a Coal Mine Repair Shop is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. The guard will monitor and patrol the premises, control access points, and respond to any security incidents or emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Access Control:
Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, visitors, and vehicles.
Verify identification and issue visitor passes.
2. Surveillance:
Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including the repair shop, storage areas, and perimeter.
Use surveillance systems to monitor activities and detect suspicious behavior.
3. Incident Response:
Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies promptly.
Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
Document incidents and prepare detailed reports.
4. Safety Enforcement:
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Identify and report safety hazards and potential security risks.
5. Customer Service:
Provide assistance and directions to visitors and employees.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and visitor information.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a security guard or similar position.
Strong observational and surveillance skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Capability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
Strength to lift and move objects as needed.
Working Conditions:
Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
