Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to join our Environmental Services team! Black River Health has an immediate opening for a Custodial Maintenance/Security team member. The Custodial Maintenance/Security person performs minor maintenance, sanitizing, and cleaning of specified areas and monitors organization security. The position available is:
Full-time, 72 hours per pay period, benefited. Night Shift 10 pm – 8 am, with a rotating schedule, allowing for every other weekend off.
Essential Duties Include:
Monitors and investigates possible security problems following accepted protocols.
Cleans, prepares, and waxes various types of floors following specified department protocols, standards, and schedules.
Checks heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and takes corrective action as necessary.
Assist with visitor management including occasionally escorting visitors after hours.
Assist with managing verbally or physically aggressive situations without injury to patients and staff, using verbal intervention/de-escalation skills, remaining calm, exercising judgment, and avoiding unnecessary physical force and abusive language.
Educational Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to three months of related experience and/or training
