We are currently looking for an experienced Residential Security Officer (RSO) to join an established team at Dodington Park Estate (DPE). Dodington Park Estate is on the boundary between South Gloucestershire and the county of Bristol balanced on the Cotswold Escarpment. At the centre of the estate is Dodington House, an 18th Century Georgian mansion which is currently being used as a private home.
When you come to work at Dodington Park, you’ll be joining a team of dedicated employees who work towards the renovation and maintenance of the house and surrounding estate, where we always strive to achieve the highest possible standards of work and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Protection of the Principal, Principal’s Family and their property
Security monitoring other Family properties not located within the immediate Estate
24/7 Monitoring of CCTV, Fire and alarm systems
Patrolling and security checks both mobile and on foot
Coordination of security reaction to incidents across the estate
Coordination of evacuation in the event of a fire or other emergency
Lock down procedures at night/ open up procedures in the morning
Emergency planning and coordination
Reaction to and management of medical incidents
Ensure compliance with Estate and security specific procedures
Incident management ensuring all incidents are responded to in an appropriate manner
Engage with security specific contractors to ensure compliance with Estate policies
Ensure that you comply with all Estate’s policies and procedures, including H&S
Event security and guest reception as required by the Estate
Anticipate the needs of the Principal, the Estate employees and plan/act accordingly
Deliver a discreet, confidential and unobtrusive service
Uphold and maintain Estate values; ensure that you understand, always embrace and keep focused on the principles and priorities of the Estate
Develop and maintain positive working relationships across the Estate
Committed to continuous development of own skills and knowledge, undergoing training where necessary
Promote best working practices and ensure all safe systems of work are followed by ALL members of staff – reminding others of their H&S responsibilities, and reporting incidents/near misses directly when necessary.

Requirements
Experience working in a Residential Security role (or role similar to that outlined above) or demonstrate transferable skills
SIA License – Door Supervisor or above
First Person On the Scene (FPOS) qualified (desirable)
A full, clean driving license
Willingness to undergo background vetting including criminal records checks and enhanced vetting
Customer focused
Computer literate with a comprehensive understanding of MS Word and PowerPoint
Experience using CCTV and alarm systems (desirable)
The capability to build and maintain collaborative relationships
Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal
